I was wondering how to get the power of attorney done in the United States, if you do not do it here in the Ukraine. It would take a whole day of our time to go to the Consultate and who knows what fees paid to Notaries. Would someone please explain to me how to do this? Thanks - Griselda

I am confused as to what power of attorney you are looking for and coming back after 10 days. What is that about?

After court, Dave was able to leave Ukraine after a short visit to the embassy in Kiev where he signed a paper that allowed me to finish up the work alone. We were also told by Kostya that we could do that in the US but it was easier to do it in Kiev that all the notorizing and apostilling in the US. I don't think there was any fee to do the POA at the embassy and all your notory fees should be paid by Adoptionway as stated in your contract.

David and I, along with Oksana went to the notary just yesterday for David to sign the necessary papers. It took us no time at all, and yes, the fee was paid by Adoption Way, it took us maybe 15 minutes or so. David is headed out tomorrow and I will stay here in Dnipro until the BITTER end. Wish we were closer, we could be together through all the crazines of adopting in Ukraine.
